The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts center in Downtown Louisville. The center opened in 1983. 

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts is the home of the Kentucky Opera, Louisville Ballet, and Louisville Orchestra. With the center’s ArtsAccessibility Program, they provide accessibility services to patrons so that everyone can enjoy the center’s live entertainment.

Explore the heart of a champion! The Muhammad Ali Center is non-profit museum in Louisville, KY about legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. He was born in Louisville as Cassius Clay, and he became world heavyweight boxing champion twice. Muhammad Ali was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. 

The six-story museum and cultural center opened in 2005. It emphasizes Ali’s life principles of peace, respect, spirituality, and personal growth. The museum also contains boxing memorabilia from Muhammad Ali’s career. Admission is $14 for adults and free for children five and under. 

Falls of the Ohio State Park in Clarksville, IN

Falls of the Ohio State Park is a state park in Indiana located beside the Ohio River. Activities at the park include fishing, hiking, bird watching and picnicking. There are over 270 species of birds that live or pass through the park. The special feature of the park is the exposed fossil beds. Visitors can observe and touch ancient creatures preserved in the fossil beds. 

Built in 1992, the Interpretive Center focuses on the natural history and archaeology of the area. They have educational exhibits and a wildlife observation room. The Interpretive Center is wheelchair accessible. The park is a fun and relaxing place for all ages to visit.
